The Virgin Viewage

Yep, okay...I graduated HIGH SCHOOL the year this movie came out, and I have a confession:

I had NEVER seen it till tonight. So when it came on TCM, I figured, "hey, there's nothing else on, why not?"

I felt like I was 18 all over again, all snuggled up on my couch with the dog, and let me tell ya, as CHEEZ WHIZ as this movie was, with it's pathetic attempts at special effects (which, for that time, were AWESOME), it STILL creeped me out. BIG TIME.

I could have SWORN that was Carrot Top playing the role of Malachai, (or is it Malakai?...whatever) and that Isaac character was SUPER creepy. Was that a KID or a "little person?" His voice HAD to have been a bad overdub. And, I GOTTA admit, I even snorted because I was laughing so hard at what they did to the car...

Anyway...brotherman was over for some lame frozen pizza but HE encouraged me to watch it ("WHAT??? You've NEVER SEEN this MOVIE?") and stayed for a little of it. We laughed our asses off about how far horror flicks have come since then. He said the sequel is better, but you really have to see the first one to know what's going on.

Right...I'll run right out to Hollywood Video to rent those sequels, bro.

AND, thanks to the cheese on the pizza, I'm probably gonna have B-rated nightmares. HA!

Hope you all have a great HNT.

Peace out. LOL

I saw that movie with a bunch of friends at a birthday party. One of the worst movies ever, but since it got Nancy to sit in my lap, more power to them.

only with horror films can people say the sequel is better....generally because the original is SO bad.

I don't think I've ever seen it....I used to NEVER watch horror movies.

Now that I'm old, they don't seem to bother me as much as they used to!

I'll have to watch it. ;-)
