I used to post prolifically. Now I barely find time in the mornings or evening to DO it (okay, let's not talk about "doing it," I just get depressed...ha ha), let alone visit y'all's sites. I have been missing it. Even BRADLEY sent me a comment.
Anyway, HELLO, CHILDRENS!!! Been going through some weird complications, had a couple doc appointments, but the good news is, I'm going to LIVE!!! I developed some weird internal infection, my fever spiked up to 102, I was off for 1/2 day, and have just been taking care of ME. Not that I'm saying, "fuck all of you," but I really needed to get some rest and take the drugs and hang with the doc's orders, while doing my best to get my time in at work.
So far, so good, as long as I just go to work, come home, take care of the dog, and then just either lie down quietly and watch HEROES (or Top Chef, or whatever else looks halfway decent) and have some soft food or soup, and/or sit quietly doing my latch-hook. Either way, the body still needs rest, even after two months.
AAAGFGGGAAA HHHHFFFFFFFUUUCCCCKKKKKKK!!!!!
I should be growing impatiens on my porch, since I'm so impatient about this recovery. ha ha! Everything I've been growing is doing well, and soon the place will be a little zen garden for me. My DILL isn't growing well, and that bothers me, because I really wanted to use my own to put up a couple jars of pickles. My grandmother had an AMAZING dill patch in her backyard.
I AM going to say that I watched "Ellen" when I got home from the doc's the other day and she had Matchbox 20 on. They're no Counting Crows, but ran a close 2nd in a pinch for me.
Happy Hump Day, peeps!

I am not loving Matchbox 20's new song. Their first 2 albums were the bomb but then they started trying to be the band that got all the recognition and I think the quality suffered a little.
I miss you too
I'm sorry that your recovery is taking so long. I used to do latch hook too. I found it very relaxing....most people found it very gay. TomAto, tomato I guess lol
Came here from Captain Corky and enjoyed my first visit.
I'm so glad you're going to live - the blogosphere is the richer for it.
It's been a while since I've grown impatiens - but our roses are coming along nicely in the spring here - I live in Australia, if you;re wondering!!
birdman ~ I'm not liking their new song, either! They did do one of their classics that I LOVE, though, and I'm actually taking that CD to work with me...
I'm bummed that this recovery is taking so long, too, but this too, shall pass. I'll post a pic of the latch-hook when it's done. I'm about 1/2 way there, and it's starting to really look good!
david ~ Thanks for stopping by!!!Okay, I guess a trip to Home Depot is in order here so I can get some impatiens. They are SO pretty! I have tried to grow roses so many times, but they always end up with aphids or some odd bugger and then die. I can't grow them to save my life! What's your secret?
david ~ P.S. Do the toilets REALLY flush the opposite direction down there? LOL
Lord, woman!!!!
Get better already!!!
Jeez! ;-)
Kidding! I hate that you're going through this. Take care of yourself. :)
Hey Counting Crows new double CD comes out in less than a month, you better run out and get it!!!
Take it nice and slow and soon you'll be the healthiest woman I know. Growing anything in that garden that we can smoke together? ;)
I can't grow anything except weeds. And not the good kind, either. Wah
Hope you feel better soon. Just take it easy, and you'll heal quicker.
I wish David Santos would stop posting my picture....
hey hon
its good to take care of yourself when you need to do that. we're not going anywhere.
I've got some dead plants on my windowsill. Can I send them to you for emergency services?
