Judging Lady

"You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting..."

I don't know of anyone who loves this clip from "A Knight's Tale" any more than I do. (yep, that was on PURPOSE.)

I was corrected for broken grammar tonight, and decided it better to lock the door in his face rather than pound it with whichever (whatever? proper grammar here?) instrument served worthy of beating his nose (or his NUTS). I'm sure both would have been horribly wrong and landed me in jail.

Neither here NOR THERE, I was PISSED OFF as HELL.

And so I say, "I FART in your GENERAL DIRECTION!"
ANYWAY!

Today it was at least 85 degrees! Pretty typical of March down here, but I still think there may be more "chilly" weather. By chilly, I mean 60's-70's. I know a lot of you are cursing me right now, but for me anything below 80 is "sweater weather." LOL! Deal. Try 120.

(Insert current rant about work here.)

Surgery is being rescheduled for early MAY, so I can get moved, settled, and all that happy combobulation. Someone's not happy about that, but like I said, #1 must be happy and given a good pre/post recovery. End of discussion. The song, "Mr. Big Stuff" comes to mind. Whatever.

Hope you peeps have a GREAT weekend.

End with a REALLY cool pic. She is SUCH a cutie. It WAS cold the other day. Go figure. Weather in AZ is wonky this time of year... This was "laundry day."

"You woke me up for THIS?"

Happy Friday, kiddos. Really.

I dated two guys who got off on correcting other people's grammar. Why didn't I learn the first time?

akelda ~ LOL I'm with ya on that one. I think they really DO get off on it.

limpy ~ I had that line typed up, but deleted it at the last minute because instead of "hamster" I used "gerbil." LMFAO that you would use that line. "Bring out y'dead!" LOL

Hi there - Long time reader...first time commenter.

I just wanted to say I think it's great that you are looking out for you. Too many of us don't do that and fall victim to trying to please others. I'm just so happy to see a strong woman who knows that taking care of herself is her first priority. Bravo!

I'm sure your boyfriend will come around and realize how lucky he is to have someone who is going to be strong all by themselves and know that only a person with that kind of strength is capable of sharing and loving on the level we all deserve.

My only comment on those type of people who get off on correcting others....it's always something about them. Some need to prove they are right. It can come from a 100 diffeent things but it's always comes back to something in their own character. I am NOT saying your b/f is not probably a wonderful person (otherwise you wouldn't be with him). But the need to prove your own "supremacy" (and I use that in the loosest of terms) is always a need within ones own self.

Sorry - I didn't mean to leave such a long comment.

Anyway, hang in there, I love your writing and descriptions.

Anne

P.S. - I am also a fellow dweller here in the Valley of the Sun. 120? Don't even go there! I have so enjoyed the winter and am not ready for the summer months...

jer ~ once you're here long enough summers are just a walk in the park. Well, I should say, a walk from a/c to a/c, or a nice drive up to the mountains.

BP ~ Nah, just need to find a way to mold the new clay. I love a good challenge. I'll have plenty of time to think about things soon enough.

anne ~ are you stalking me? ha ha! I tried to access your site but blogger says it's not available. Thanks for coming by!

Lady... I am absolutely NOT stalking you. LOL. Sorry to say my own blog hasn't been updated in months and I would be very embarrassed to send anyone there to look at it....wish I could say I keep up with my own the way you are able to do with yours. I used my gmail account to sign in - I thought it would link you over to that.
Take care - Anne

Well, speaking as someone who DOES correct other people's grammar - it's a twitch. It's not that I think I'm better than anyone. I just like hearing things the way they should be spoken. Most of my friends/relatives are used to it. Their typical response when I correct a grammar mistake is, "Yeah, whatever." I don't take it personal, and neither do they.

Like I said - it's a twitch.

btw - puppy is SO CYOOT!!!
