BOO!!!!

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. There have been a lot of things I've needed to concentrate on, mainly the neverending search for a JOB (this economy SO SUCKS right now) and even more health issues. That's right, kids, the fun just never ends. I'm coming up on the big 4-3 this month and at this point I'll feel lucky if I make it to 50. There's fluid in my liver, causing my stomach to distend, sometimes to the point where I look pregnant.

I have a bladder/kidney infection, which has had my temperature between 99 and 102 for almost 2 weeks. I shouldn't have waited so long to go to the doc. Now there may be fluid around my right lung, so I have to get a chest x-ray Monday morning. With no insurance (e.g. waiting so long to go to the doc) and AHCCCS giving me the runaround for the last TWO MONTHS (AHCCCS is health insurance/cash assistance, gov'ment help) this has been costing a small fortune. The doc says what he's hearing in the stethescope isn't good and it's critical for me to get the x-ray ASAP. The last bloodwork he wanted would have cost me over $2,000 without insurance, so I didn't get them done. It was bad enough with the liver ultrasound. Now the doc is saying they may have to go in with a long-ass needle and drain the fluid outta there. I have a thing about needles in the first place, so if this happens, they had BETTER knock me out for it.

I know, I can go on and on and on. I'm sure there's people out there with worse problems than I have.

It's cold today (43 when I got up this morning) so I've got chili in the crockpot. I was pretty much "ordered" to eat more protein, so the meat & beans in there should help.

Hope all is well with everyone. I'll get around to commenting as soon as I can.

Peace, good vibes, and Happy Columbus Day!

HAD to do This...

My BFF was supposed to come down tonight so we could talk, be girls, and whatnot. She's busy being an internet HO and whatever. I can't be pissed, I've done the same thing. So this one's for her! LOL

Foot Fettish

JEEZ, kids, the fun just never STOPS around here, does it?

Okay, here's the scoop: I finally got in to see the doc, and there is NO fungus among us. Thank GOD for that. I DID learn that if it WERE some kind of fungus or something, it doesn't cause pain or anything, it's just really FUGLY. Which, by the way, my feet are not, according to him. hee!

However...oh, yes, there's a "however..." (Did you expect anything less from this child?)

Because of all the pain, burning, stigmata-like nail-driving pain and associated tingling in my toes/feet, he thinks it may be due to a vitamin B-12 deficiency OR, because of the weight loss, a hyperthyroid issue. So he ordered like 5 blood tests (yes, back to the vampires). UGH.

All this without insurance. It's fucking killing me. The rents are helping me out BIG TIME, but I hate imposing on them. Pops is thisclose to retiring, so I am feeling guilty as hell. THEY just want to see me healthy. I just want to be able to take care of myself without help. Yeah, I'm stubborn and independent and hate asking for help.

Anyway, all the blood tests the doc ordered were based upon a "peripheral neuropathy" issue. When I read up on this, it's pretty common in people who are having trouble absorbing vitamins, mainly the B12, and happens a lot when people have surgery on their insides.

Go figure. What the fuck did I DO in my past life?

Sorry I haven't been around much, I promise to be more diligent in visiting/commenting/posting. You guys have been cracking me up with yours, and I DO appreciate the good wishes.

Limpy...how the FUCK did you figure out the secret ingredient in my BBQ sauce? And here I thought I was gonna have a corner on the market.

Friday...we need to talk...LOL

The weather here has been MOST awesome! Well, hot, humid, and miserable, but the storms have been spectacular. It's been better to stay indoors because of all the lightening. Almost as good as the 4th of July fireworks.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
